Assistant Management Accountant Position

Reporting To: Head of Accounts

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive salary, dependant on experience

Required Experience: Accounting Role: 2 Years

Due to expansion and company growth, a new vacancy has become available for an Assistant Management Accountant based at our Head Office in Southwick.

Main Duties:
  • Nominal account reviews
  • Reconciliation of inter-company accounts
  • Adjustment and correction journals
  • Administration of the Franchise business element
  • Posting of credit card receipts
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Aged Debtor and Aged Creditor analysis and resolution of queries
  • Raising and posting of invoices
  • Administration of the fleet sales and leasing business element
  • Assisting the Head of Accounts with contracts and credit applications
  • Supporting the accounts team with day to day processes
  • Covering accounts staff for sickness and holiday
  • Responding to Accounting queries via telephone and email
Other Duties:
  • Assisting the Head of Accounts with ad-hoc tasks
  • Other ad-hoc duties as and when required by the Director / Company Secretary
  • Applicants should work well as part of a team or on their own initiative
  • Have a flexible approach to work
  • A very keen eye for detail
  • Ability to follow processes in their entirety
  • Possess good communication skills via telephone or email
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows software, mainly Excel
  • Experience of Sage 50 essential
  • A knowledge of DVLA procedures would be advantageous but not essential
  • A very good understanding of the Management Accounts process
  • Friendly approach towards fellow employees
